As an ambassador for OzKids, I attended their recent gala to celebrate the winners of the OzKids Young Australian Art and Writers’ Awards. Channel 7 was there filming the event and showed a clip on the News the following night.
Throughout the year, kids from all over Australia send their short stories, poems and artwork to be included in the beautiful OzKids full colour magazine, and they have the chance to win one of the awards presented at the end of the year. It’s a wonderful gala night, and it’s always exciting for me to meet the up-and-coming talent.
